One of my greatest joys in ministry is helping people take steps of faith, and watching God show up big time in their lives! I believe one of the biggest spiritual challenges, and also an area of our greatest potential blessing, is in the area of finances. I believe strongly in the tithe, bringing the first 10% of our income back to the local church as a statement of obedience, gratittude and faith.
So, at Palm Valley we offer the 90 day tithe challenge. What is it? It’s a chance to test God in the only area of our life that he says “test me in this”. So, if you’re not currently tithing, and you’re willing to take the 90 day tithe challenge, here’s the basics…
1) you commit to tithing for the next 90 days. Email me at pastorgreg@palmvalley.org and let me know you’re taking the challenge, including your start date.
2) I’m going to send you a book I think will be helpful, and some emails along the way. Our staff will be praying for you, that you’ll see God show up in your life in ways you’ve never dreamed up. Understand, I’m not saying you’ll suddenly win the lottery
, but I believe your faith will be grown through this challenge and God will not let you down!
3) At the end of the 90 days, if God hasn’t been faithful to you, just email or call us and we will refund your 90 days of giving. I’m not kidding, dead serious. We won’t question or harass you. I believe so strongly in the promises God makes in the Bible regarding this area, that we’re willing to put our money where our mouth is!
To help you understand more about this, here’s two key teaching I’ve done regarding finances. Enjoy!

What an awesome weekend at PVC…
In case you didn’t make it to PVC this weekend, here’s the big news…
After nearly 9 years of being a portable church, we have finalized an agreement to purchase a building in the west valley.
It’s an awesome deal that will allow us to double our capacity and reach more people for Jesus!
We hope to sign a contract early this week, and then announce the exact location next weekend in services. Video of the message and announcement will be available Monday at www.palmvalley.org
What is this unidentified gal doing at the Palm Valley Church fax machine?
What could be contained on those documents?
How do they pertain to the future of Palm Valley Church?
Okay, the gal is actually Marge, our receptionist, but the rest is pretty mysterious
You don’t want to miss this weekend at PVC!

Over the next few weeks we will be introducing “Community Pastors” to Palm Valley Church. I’m truly excited about this, because I really believe it’s the strengthening of our church. We’ve been praying, planning and preparing for this for over a year, and we’re finally ready to roll out our first CP’s.

The CP’s are men in our church who have displayed a huge heart for the Lord, own the vision of PVC, and love people. These men are volunteers, but will be given great responsibility in leadership of our church. They will be working in tandem with the lead staff to care for and shepherd the people of PVC, as well as leading our efforts to reach this community for Christ. As I gathered with our first CP’s this Sunday for lunch, it struck me that these men will be leading our church to become all that Christ desires us to be.
PVC’ers, please pray for these leaders. You’ll see them on the patio between services, stop and talk to them. They’d love to pray with you and get to know you.
I asked you to pray yesterday at 2:00, as we had a HUGE meeting regarding the future meeting place for PVC. Thank you for praying. God showed up in a HUGE way!!!
We met with the President of the bank who has foreclosed on the building we’re looking at. We believe we’re all on the same page, and are down to a few (significant
) details on terms for financing.
So please continue to pray. The board of the bank is meeting this week to review our offer and see what they’re willing to do.
God gave me a great reminder last night that Palm Valley Church is not about a building, but helping people far from God find life and hope through Jesus Christ! We believe this tool will provide a “home base” for us to have even greater impact and influence in the west valley for the building of His Kingdom!
I don’t think you want to miss this Sunday at PVC
This weekend was powerful in so many ways. I sensed and the Spirit of God moving in people’s lives before/during/and after every service…
